MyGoodness
John Edwards (who is hardly worthy of the name) is going to be doing an online chat with MySpace and MTV. My first thought was a question: why would a dynamic duo like MySpace and MTV favor Edwards, rather than Clinton or Obama?

Obama is charismatic and Clinton is powerful, while Edwards is simply a ham. In a way, he reminds me of that youngest cousin who, at the family reunion, goes nuts to get attention. I'm not totally sure what he would do with a White House and, I suppose, the Democratic Party is asking themselves the same.

The answer, however, should have been obvious. Edwards is constantly in need of America's eye, but is mediocre at holding our attention. Edwards isn't chatting it up with internet denizens because he's the hottest thing online. He's doing it because he's the only one that would. In contrast to a broadcast debate, an online chat gives this candidate the chance to Google up some answers before he responds.

MyGoodness.
